Maybe you learned German at school but are still insecure when speaking it. Maybe you regularly go to a German-speaking country and you want to be able to communicate better with people. Perhaps you have bought a second home in Germany, Switzerland or Austria?

Overcome your hesitation about speaking German!
In the course German – conversation you will tackle your insecurity. After this course you will

  • be able to express yourself in common everyday situations
  • be able to make small talk
  • have increased your vocabulary
  • be able to talk about topics that interest you

In this course
we will practise everyday situations (e.g. going shopping, small talk with the neighbours) and speak about topics that interest you. We will not work with a course book but with material that you provide or material from the internet. The focus will be on speaking rather than on grammar. You will receive a TaalKrachtig-folder.

German – conversation
is for everybody who regularly visits a German-speaking country, who wants to be able to speak  better German or who has emigration plans. The level depends on your knowledge at the beginning of the course (see article European language levels, CEFR). You can take the course individually or in a group. The classes will take place at IJsselstraat 37 in Utrecht (alternative location if so desired by mutual agreement). The course is offered in packages of several lessons and takes as long as you want.

A class is € 60.00 per hour (per person, excluding VAT and class material). You need to buy a lesson package in advance. The more hours you buy, the less you pay, e.g. 10 x 1 hour (€ 570.00 i.e. 5% discount), 10 x 1.5 hours (€ 810.00 i.e. 10% discount) or 10 x 2 hours (€ 1,020.00 i.e. 15% discount). Classes in the evenings cost an additional € 10 per hour. Work-related courses are liable to VAT, courses for general education are not. Prices for more than one person are available on request.
